伯乐核酸水平电泳槽的凝胶制胶有2种方法：一是直接在水平电泳槽内的凝胶台上制胶，一次可灌制一块7×7cm、15×7cm、15×15cm的凝胶；二是使用独立的制胶器/灌胶台（Gel caster），一次灌制一块或多块凝胶，可灌制多种尺寸的凝胶。
水平电泳槽内原位制胶套件包括1个可透射紫外的凝胶托盘(UV-transparent gel tray/UVTP tray)、1对制胶挡板(Gel casting gates)、1个水平调节指示器（Leveling bubble）和1套高度固定的水平电泳梳(Fixed-height comb)。
UV-transparent gel tray/UVTP tray,称为紫外可透射的凝胶托盘，前后两端为封闭的档壁，上有电泳梳狭孔(Comb slots)，用于设定电泳梳的位置。凝胶托盘的主要用途一是作为核酸电泳用的琼脂糖凝胶制胶模板，并在电泳过程中对凝胶提供水平支撑，二是凝胶电泳完成后，借助于托盘紫外线透射功能，把凝胶完整可靠地整体转移到凝胶成像分析仪或紫外透射台上直接观察和成像分析，确保凝胶在转入转出地完好无损，避免手部直接接触到凝胶，安全卫生且操作简便。

Leveling bubble，称为气泡水平检测尺/水平指示器，用于灌胶前检查灌胶工作台面（如电泳槽的凝胶台、制胶器）的水平情况，确保凝胶厚薄均匀一致。
Gel casting gates，称为制胶挡板/铺制门，用于封堵凝胶托盘两段的开口确保琼脂糖凝胶不泄漏。使用时先将 UVTP 托盘放在水平电泳槽中部的凝胶台上，再把制胶挡板滑入 GT凝胶台两端的插槽中。确保挡板均匀地接触 UVTP托盘的所有边缘。挡板自身的重量即可提供紧密的密封，以防止凝胶灌制出现任何泄漏问题。
